2 min read

Scarlet Moon Records is thrilled to release Prescription for Sleep: Stardew Valley, the 11th album in their Billboard-charting jazz album series. This special volume celebrates seven years of the Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullabies series and has been crafted alongside Stardew Valley creator and composer ConcernedApe who has hand-picked the tracks and guided GENTLE LOVE’s performances. A digital booklet is available exclusively on Bandcamp including full credits, photos, ConcernedApe’s recording notes and liner notes, and an interview with GENTLE LOVE. The album also includes “Beauty in Seasons,” an original track by GENTLE LOVE inspired by Stardew Valley in which every two bars of music represents a month of the year, providing a uniquely musical way to experience the seasons. Prescription for Sleep: Stardew Valley is now available on all storefronts:

“Eleven albums in seven years may sound like a lot, but when you realize that Prescription for Sleep: Stardew Valley puts the entire series runtime at over 13 hours of music, we’ve pretty much guaranteed that even the lengthiest slumber sessions are covered,” notes Scarlet Moon’s Jayson Napolitano. “We were so honored to be approached by ConcernedApe with the idea for this album and feel it fits in perfectly with the therapeutic approach that GENTLE LOVE aims to bring to listeners.”

“I actually listened to a lot of GENTLE LOVE while developing Stardew Valley,” reflects Stardew Valley creator and composer Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone. “And now, to hear my melodies masterfully re-imagined and expanded upon by them is a great honor and a treat to me. This album is something I will personally cherish for the rest of my life, and I hope it brings you a lot of peace and happiness!”
